KGEM is Monrovia’s local community television station. It is one of three stations available to the public on through both Champion Broadband and Time Warner Cable. Selected programming is also available on the web.

It is part of Community Media of the Foothills, a nonprofit organization run by a board of volunteer directors with the goal of providing the community with local educational, governmental and entertaining programming on any of three local stations, KGEM (educational), KGOV (governmental) and KMAC (public access).

The main station (KGEM) is located in Monrovia at 847 E. Olive Avenue at Mountain. It has a studio, three editing bays and an office. KGEM provides studio time, cameras, and editing equipment free of charge to the local members of the community. We’ll also show you how to use it! We welcome you to stop by anytime and learn more about us.

Dear Monrovia Viewers,

Many other communities across the Southland have recently lost their community channels due to recent changes in the law. Yet KGEM continues to thrive thanks to the community that surrounds it. This can only continue with your help.

We need new members, volunteers and especially sponsorships/donations. We have several different member and sponsorship packages available for both businesses or members of the community.
